Our special guest speaker, Anne Van Curen, will be focusing on Jesus as the greatest storyteller ever known, and how He desires to share His love for us through His parables. Let’s dive in together to contemplate Christ’s love through His stories!

Our Ladies Retreat is on Saturday, October 6, 2018, and it is from 10am-1pm.

Will Childcare be provided?

Childcare will not be provided during the conference. Our hope is that this Ladies Retreat will be a time for you to “get away” and be free from distraction so you can receive all God has for you.
 

What Should I Bring?

Anne, a native of Maryville, Tennessee grew up in the Smoky Mountains. She graduated from the University of Tennessee Memphis College of Nursing and has been in this vocation for many years. For the past 20 years she has focused on providing Hospice Care in the home setting and is currently the Hospice Volunteer Coordinator with Blount Memorial Hospital Hospice in Maryville.
 
Anne has also worn many other hats. She has been a pastor’s wife, is a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 6! Anne loves to hike and is currently section hiking the Appalachian Trail. She is also a storyteller and has written many monologues of historical and biblical characters.
 
On October 6, Anne will be the guest speaker at Grace Baptist Church for a Ladies Retreat. She will focus on Jesus as the greatest storyteller ever known and how Jesus desires to share His love for us through His parables. It is hard for us to comprehend the height, depth, and love of Jesus’s love for us, but perhaps we can catch a glimpse of that love as we focus on His stories!
