After breakfast at the church, we will travel to a private pistol range for target practice and fellowship.  Please, see Pastor Mark with any questions.

Deacon ballots will be handed out next week to all members aged 18 and older.  Please, see Casey Elkins on Sunday, October 1st, to receive your ballot. Any remaining ballots will be mailed out on Monday, October 2nd.  Then prayerfully complete the ballot and either mail it back to the church or deposit it in the green box in the hallway by Sunday, October 15th.

Praise God! Disaster Relief Offering Update!

Praise God and Thank You!  We raised
$2652.10 in cash/checks/gift cards last week to support the SBC of Virginia’s Disaster Relief Teams
, as they work together to minister to and serve people affected by Hurricane Harvey and now Hurricane Irma.

Volunteers Needed in Children’s Ministry!

Please, pray and consider serving for this awesome Children’s Ministry opportunity. If interested, fill out a volunteer form, located in the hallway outside the sanctuary, and give it to Pam Elkins, as soon as possible. Volunteer t-shirts are also available for sale. We could use everyone’s help to make our VBS a success, and there’s always somewhere your gifts are needed!

The Apple Dumpling Festival will be on Saturday, October 21st, from 10-4pm.  We will be there with a GBC booth, and we need help from volunteers like you for setup, clean-up, handing out free water and hot-apple cider, and face painting for an hour (or more, if possible.) Please pray about joining us for this fun event of service, fellowship, and representing our great God!

GBC will be hosting another American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, October 25th, from 3pm-7pm.  This is a chance for us to help save a life and to share the love of Jesus with our community.  There is a sign-up sheet in the hallway; and please, invite others to join us in this worthy endeavor.

GBC welcomes the local Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group, every 1
st and 3rd
Tues of the month, at 10am, to encourage and equip one another in the love of Jesus.  Please, contact Leisa LeFew with questions.

Do you have a couple hours twice a month to give in service to the young families who will attend the MOPS meetings here at Grace?  If you can help provide childcare for the babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, please, contact Leisa LeFew or Jennifer Brown.
