Mark graduated from Shepherd’s Theological Seminary with a Masters in Christian Ministry with a Concentration in Biblical Languages. He, his wife Pam, and their three daughters Casey, Maura, and Peyton moved to Stuart from Richmond, VA in 2012 to accept God’s call to shepherd this wonderful flock of Christ.
He was born in the inner city of Baltimore, MD and after a series of bad choices he ended up a 14 year old High School dropout. After a year of wandering, a providential blessing from God allowed Mark to enroll in a Christian High School where although he wasn’t saved, he was introduced to authentic Christianity. After graduating from Baltimore Lutheran High School in 1985 he attended D&E College in West Virginia, earning a BS Degree in Accounting/Finance. After marrying the love of his life, Pam, they moved to Richmond, VA and started their new family.
Mark had a number of jobs, including Branch Manager of a Fortune 500 Staffing Company and owning his own Recruiting Firm for over ten years. When he and Pam started having children she really wanted them to attend church. There he met a man named Bill, who invited him to a Lent Bible Study and it was there that Mark first met Jesus. Bill helped lead Mark to Christ and encouraged him to use his teaching gifts.
Eventually the Lord led Mark and his family to a Southern Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, VA where an Air Force pilot who taught a Small Group Bible Study introduced him to sound theology and expositional teaching. That Bible study grew from 30 people to over 100 and after being encouraged to pursue full time ministry for many years Mark and Pam decided to close his business and step out in faith. After much prayer they were led to Shepherds Theological Seminary in Cary, NC and then by God’s providence in 2012 to Grace Baptist Church.
